FAQ — Gynaecology and Obstetrics
How often should I have a cytology test?
The frequency is set individually by the doctor, usually every 1–3 years depending on age, method and previous results.
At what age should the first gynaecology visit take place?
The timing is individual. A teenager’s first visit is often a conversation and education — we aim to create a calm, safe atmosphere.
How does a midwife clinic differ from a gynaecologist?
A midwife provides antenatal education, care in physiological pregnancy and the postpartum period, and lactation support, while a doctor handles diagnosis and treatment.
Do you insert intrauterine devices (IUDs)?
Yes — as part of a gynaecology consultation it is possible to insert and remove an intrauterine device.
