ABOUT THE SPECIALIST
A graduate of medicine at the Piast of Silesia Medical University in Wrocław. She is currently completing a specialisation in paediatric surgery and works daily in the Paediatric Surgery Ward of the T. Marciniak Lower Silesian Specialist Hospital in Wrocław.
She deals with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of children and adolescents, assessment for operations and minor surgical procedures. In her work she pays particular attention to thorough diagnostics and to explaining the treatment options and next steps clearly to parents.
Her scope of practice includes:
- paediatric surgery consultations,
- diagnosis of conditions that need a paediatric surgeon’s assessment,
- assessment of children and adolescents for surgical treatment,
- pre- and post-operative check-ups,
- minor surgical procedures,
- assessment and treatment of scars in children and adolescents.
In parallel, she is developing her skills in aesthetic medicine and in current methods of scar therapy. She is particularly interested in laser therapy used to improve the appearance and quality of the skin and to treat scars, including in paediatric patients. She chooses the method individually, taking into account the type and age of the scar, the stage of healing and the patient’s age.
With the youngest patients and their parents she values a calm atmosphere, a sense of safety and partner-like communication. She wants parents to leave the consultation understanding the diagnosis, the available treatment options and the next steps.
